Building Rock Solid Kids

Dear Parents and Student,

I have found the most amazing resource for helping parents to turn their child into a confident, strong, focused and disciplined person!

When my children were young I had read a few book on 'rearing' children. Most, in my opinion were psychological garbage that would do more harm than good. At least I sure didn't buy what I was reading.

Well recently I discovered a book written by a friend and mentor in the martial arts field that is truly AMAZING. The book is called "How to Build Rock Solid Kids" by Professor and Martial Arts Master Keith Hafner. Follow the link provided in this email to go to his site and check this book out. School Crest Update

Dear Parents & Students,

I know that everyone has been patiently waiting for information on our school crest. Well finally here goes! The picture you see up at the corner of this email is our NEW school crest! Our thanks go our to John Fahey for all his work on this NEW look!

When these crests are available we will first be giving them to all those students that we owe them to who have purchased uniforms or are new members who have not as of yet received theirs.

We also have sufficient on order for those of you who wish to purchase additional crests. These will be sold at $12 each including GST/PST. We will be doing this initial sale by pre-order as to assure we have enough crests to go around. If you would like to purchase one or more crests please see your instructor. For this initial order we do require you to pre-pay the order just as we do with normal equipment sales.

Black Belt Pre Test Information

July 6, 2007

Black Belt Testing

Dear Parents and Student:

First off I want to congratulate everyone on their successful Black Belt Testing on May 26^th. Everyone did a great job!

I wanted to inform everyone that the new testing schedule for Black Belt has already begun. All Black Belts, regardless of rank will test every three months. These tests will make sure that the student keeps up to date on the requirements for their next rank, as well as not feeling overwhelmed at rank testing time.

Please mark these pre-testing dates on your calendar.

· Saturday August 11^th at 1:00pm in Windsor

· Saturday November 17^th at 1:00pm in Windsor

· Saturday February 16^th 2008 at 1:00pm in Windsor

· Saturday May 17^th 2008 at 1:00pm in Windsor

These pre-test are required to be eligible for your next full rank test. If you are unable to attend one of these scheduled dates, please let your instructor know. There will be makeup test dates available as needed. Makeup tests will only be done for good reason. Not knowing your materials is not one of them. There are no costs associated with these tests other then wood which the student must purchase from Home Depot of any of many other sources.

The date of the Black Belt Extravaganza 2008 is Friday May 30^th to Sunday June 1^st 2008, and we can hardly wait! If you have any questions please feel free to contact my office.
